Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The Use and Management of UQ Land, Buildings and Facilities Policy has been amended to clarify certain matters pertaining to the rights and obligations of UQ and the users of UQ land, buildings and facilities. The purpose of the material changes is to:

• Re-state, for the avoidance of any doubt, the obligation imposed by other policies on staff and students to produce their UQ-issued identification cards on request.

• Confirm that the erection or installation of structures (such as tents and marquees) and the use or occupation of those structures without prior written approval is prohibited.

• Confirm that unapproved structures and other personal property left on UQ property without approval may be removed or disposed of. • Clarify the meaning of the term “University purposes” used in the Policy.
