Workload Allocation for Academic Staff Policy

This Policy is under review to capture the terms of the UQ Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026. Updates will be made in due course.

Section 1 - Purpose and Objectives

(1) This Policy outlines the University’s commitment to maintain guidelines relating to the allocation of workload for academic staff and applies in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement.

Section 2 - Definitions, Terms, Acronyms

(2) Enterprise Agreement - The University of Queensland Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026 or as amended or replaced.

Section 3 - Policy Scope/Coverage

(3) This Policy applies to schools, institutes and centres and other units involved in the allocation of workload for academic staff. The Policy does not apply to casual academic staff.

Section 4 - Policy Statement

(4) The University is committed to maintaining guidelines for the planning and allocation of workloads for academic staff. This includes Teaching and Research, Teaching-Focused, Clinical Academic and Research-Focused academic staff, but not casual academic staff.
