(1) This Procedure enacts the UQ Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Service Policy. (2) No entries for this document. (3) This Procedure applies to all staff and students at The University of Queensland. (4) The following procedures underpin the operation of the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy and Community Service. (5) The Senate, acting on the advice of the Vice-Chancellor and the UQ Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Committee, may grant standing to faith bodies to join its Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Service. (6) Chaplains are nominated by a faith body which has previously been granted standing by the University. Chaplains are unpaid positions and, as such, the University’s policy in this regard will apply. (7) A Chaplain who meets the attributes criteria may be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor on the advice of the UQ Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Committee. (8) In rendering any services, the Multi-Faith Chaplaincy and Community Service is expected to work in conjunction with other support services for students and staff in the University of Queensland such as the Human Resources Division, Academic Services Division and UQ Residential Colleges.UQ Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Service Procedure
